The following is a list, with inscriptions, of the memorials in the East section of the churchyard. They are listed in alphabetical order. E/R5M2 - 'Life how short. O lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world. Eternity how long'. Sacred to the memory of William Atkinson of Hartsop Patterdale, Yeoman who died July 11th 1839 aged 84 years. He was a kind neighbour and an indulgent husband and left behind him a widow to lament his Loſs. By whom this tablet was erected as a laſting memorial of his eſteem. Also of Fanny Atkinson widow of the above who departed this life on the 19th day of October 1852 aged 78 years.

E/R6M1 - Sacred to the memory of James Brownrigg, Yeoman of Thorn, Nether Hartsop Patterdale who died April 18th 1851, aged 80 years.
E/R5M4 - In memoriam Herbert Henry Buck died June 23, 1884, aged 9. Sarah Jane Murray, Jacob Murray, Ernest Laishley Murray who died In Infancy. 'Asleep in Jesus, blessed sleep from which none ever wake to weep'.
E/R4M1 - Sacred to the memory of John Dixon, Yeoman of Crookabeck, in Patterdale, died March 31st 1840, aged 60 years. Also of Mary Dixon, wife of the above, who departed this life on the 23rd day of December 1856, aged 75 years. Also of Margaret Dixon their daughter who died Oct. 10th 1835, aged 23 years.
E/R11M2 - In loving memory of Mary Margaret Dixon born at Martindale 1st July 1885 died at Low Wray Farm 28th Feb 1931. 'Farewell my husband and children dear, shed not for me one single tear, you plainly saw my glass was run, for all that was or could be done, with you I can no longer stay, God calls me hence, I must away'.
E/R11M3 - In loving memory of Robert Grisedale Dixon son of George and Elizabeth Jane Dixon born at Crookabeck, fell asleep Oct. 31st 1956 aged 81 years. 'At rest'.
E/R5M3 - Lancelot Dobson of Grassthwaite How, who died May 12th 1847, aged 80 years. Also Margaret his wife who died April 25th 1863, aged 83 years. Also their children Margaret, Lancelot, Thomas, Caroline & James.
E/R9M4 - In memory of James Donaldson of Patterdale who died Octr 12th 1852, aged 75 years. Also of Esther, his wife who died June 3rd 1851, aged 81 years.
E/R5M1 - In memory of Thomas, eldest son of Robert and Elizabeth Grisdale of Hartsop Hall in this Township, who was barbarously murdered by an unprovoked assassin on the evening of Sunday March 8th 1835 aged 27 years. 'By man's worst crime he fell and not his own. Beloved he lived and dying left a name with which his parents mark this votive stone. The grief is theirs th'Assassin bears the shame. Better to sleep tho' in an early grave than like the murderer cain exist a banished slave'.
E/R4M2 - In memory of James Harrison M.A. who departed this life 10th day of July 1820, aged 36 years. 'It must be so - our father Adam's fall, and disobedience brought this lot on all. All die in him but hopeless should we be, blest revelation were it not for thee. Hail glorious gospel heavenly light whereby we live with comfort, and with comfort die and view beyond this gloomy scene the tomb, a life of endless happiness to come'.

Also of Thomas, their son who died Jany. 15th 1880, aged 38 years. Also of John, their son who died Sepr. 2nd 1860 aged 6 years.
E/R4M3 - In loving memory of John Lake who died May 5, 1883, aged 68 years. Also, Jane his wife who died April 3, 1879, aged 55 years. 'Thy will be done'.

E/R7M1 - Sacred to the memory of Margaret, daughter of James and Margaret Matthews of Greenside Lodge in Patterdale, who died On the 27th day of April 1852 aged 12 years. 'Are not my days few? Job X.20 Also of Thomas Their son who died On the 15th Day of November ???? aged 21 years.
E/R7M4 - Sacred to the memory of John Mounsey, of Patterdale Hall who departed this life, Febry. 1st 1821, aged 63 years. Also of Mary Mounsey his widow who departed this life on the 12th day of April 1847, aged 89 years. Also of George his son died April 11th 1817 aged 31 years. Also John his son, Attorney in Law, died Jany. 13th 1830, aged 51 years. Also of Jane his daughter who departed this life on the 27th of November 1832, aged 42 years. Also of William his son, who died on the 18th day of August 1838, aged 40 years. Also of Jane his wife, who departed this life, on the 16th of October 1839, aged 46 years.
E/R8M2 - 'The Lord is my shepherd'. Sacred to the memory of John Mounsey of Greenbank, Deepdale, Yeoman who died on the 1st day of December 1859, aged 41 years. Also of Hannah his wife who died at Penrith on the 26th day of March 1902, aged 79 years. Also of Mary Jane, their daughter who died at Penrith on the 14th day of August 1866, aged 20 years.

E/R9M1 - In memory of Henry Rothery of Braysteads, Patterdale who died March 20th 1897, aged 75 years. Also Mary his wife who died at Braysteads Feb. 14th 1897, aged 69 years. 'It is the Lords will let him do what seemeth him good'. Also Henry Rothery Leck grandson of the above who died at Braysteads June 27th 1893, aged 4 years.

Also of Isaac his son who died at Grassthwaite How Patterdale Jan. 24th 1895, aged 9 years. Also of Mary his wife who died at Grassthwaite How March 25th 1907 aged 47 years.

Also Henry Rothery father of the above who died at Braysteads Sept 17th 1861 aged 73 years. Also Hannah wife of the above who died at Braysteads Nov 22nd 1864 aged 78 years.
E/R10M1 - In loving memory of Isaac Rothery died June 18th 1871 aged 47. Also Sarah wife of the above who died June 7th 1896 aged 75. 'Until the day break'.
E/R11M1 - In loving memory of Thomas Rothery who died at Bell Grove, Watermillock April 13th 1916 aged 65 years. Also his wife Margaret Rothery who died at Low Wray Farm Jan 7th 1938 aged 88 years.
E/R11M4 - In loving memory of Hannah Stainton Rothery of Townhead House, Orton born March 24th 1864 died June 21st 1912.
E/R12M1 - In loving memory of Mary Ann Rothery Town Head House, Orton who died Sept 15th 1935 aged 78 years. Also Eleanor Rothery sister of the above who died Oct 6th 1940 aged 88 years.
E/R12M2 - In loving memory of Emily A. Sisson of Townhead House, Orton, Westmorland, born Jan 28th 1876 died Jan 20th 1932. 'At rest'.
E/R7M3 - Sacred To the memory of John Walton of Bridge End, Yeoman, who departed this life on the 26th day of October 1848, aged 80 years. And of Ann Walton his wife who died at Troutbeck on the 3rd day of March 1858, aged 78 years. Also of Tom Walton youngest son of the above who died on the 18th day of January 1847, aged 26 years. Also of John Walton of Bridge End, Yeoman, who died February 26th 1892 aged 87 years. Also of Ann Walton of Bridge End who died March 24th 1897, aged 73 years.
