The table below shows the numbers of votes cast by the 31st December 2010, in BT's Race to Infinity. Whilst exchanges with less than 1,000 lines were not eligible to win the competition, it was used by many rural communities as a means of demonstrating the level of interest there was for better broadband. The score 26.64% for the Glenridding exchange is an outstanding show of interest, particularly when compared with some of the larger, and eligible, exchanges like Penrith and Windermere (1.57% and 3.32%). The larger exchanges have been shaded grey.
