Jubilee Singers
The Jubilee Singers are a local choir founded in 1977 ( the first of the Queen's Jubilee Years) by Denise Maxwell.
The choir started with only five members and rapidly increased to a thriving group of ladies who enjoy singing together. There are now nearly 20 of us along with our accomplished pianist Mike Town.
In the past we have had both men and children in the choir and performed concerts in many places. Our main concert was always the one we had at Christmas, performing to packed audiences in both Glenridding village hall and St Patrick's Church, Patterdale.
Over the years we have raised money for local Churches, charities and organisations through our concerts.
We continue to do this in a smaller way now by giving concerts during the summer months in and around our local area.
We also support St Patrick's Church, Patterdale at their special services.
This summer (2019) we will be giving concerts in August and September as well as singing at some special events.
We meet most Wednesday evenings in Glenridding village hall and new members are always welcome. If you are interested in coming to join us please contact Denise Maxwell on 01768 892 923.
